An interesting knit wear brand has been catching some good press this fall. While Arne & Carlos have been landing their beautifully designed and crafted sweaters in some of the top boutiques and working with the likes of Comme des Garcons, I was kind of interested to find out some more info. Arne Nerjodet is Norwegian and Carlos Zachrison hails from Sweden. The two now reside just north of Olso, Norway where they come up with their Peruvian inspired designs and have their sweaters made. Half of the collection is made by hand and the other half by traditional machining methods. I'm personally really a fan of their color palettes and seemingly off-balance patterns. The cuts and methods are very traditional, but the inspiration and execution is fairly new and fresh. Sweaters will forever serve their purpose of keeping you warm, but only a few brands have come to the forefront of combining the tradition and origins with the modern menswear market, Arne & Carlos is one of them. Available at Tres Bien.
