A.P.C. Spring Collection

I know there have been some items here and there, including the footwear we previewed a week ago, but I thought I would share the majority of the spring collection here. Some people have been quick to judge A.P.C.'s spring items as they seem a bit lackluster. I feel the collection works best together and seen together rather than just a flat picture of one shirt on a white background. So here are the spring/summer looks from A.P.C. for the upcoming season. There are definitely some individual items to get excited about, in particular the baseball/bomber/varsity jacket. I'm always on the look for one with clean details and a good fit and this looks like it might be the winner. There are also some nice coats, cardigans, bags and lighter denim tops which all look pretty nice. I would be surprised if I didn't end up with one or two items from this collection in the next 6 months.

Enjoy. Discuss.

Agreed, as always the APC styling really brings the collection to life. Thanks for the preview.

I completely agree with Ryan. From my short experience with APC they thrive on providing the best basics pieces using the best fabrics as well as construction so by viewing one piece, your guaranteed a simple item. When the pieces are put together, the collection speaks volumes.

For me:
Bomber
Light Jean Jacket (definately looking into that)

the collection styles looks wonderful.

Gonna have to grab that varsity jacket

Very dope, what stands out to me is the denim jacket and the varsity are must haves, im liking the bag also.

I can see everyone is feeling the same items.

The bomber and light denim tops are my favorites as well. I always like their coats as well. And I have to say the coveralls have a bit of my attention.

The denim tops are great - the varsity is alright don't get me worng its alright but i can't understand someone calling it a must have tho ! theres alot nicer jackets out there - the shorts/cardigan and bag is a strong look which to be honest can be easily replicated.

Yes, the varsity jacket is definitely the pick of the litter. And, I've seen some nice khaki looking pants (though they may be a jean cut) on some other sites.

I think what is ruining this collection for me though is the shaggy haired model. I kind of want to punch him in the face. I don't know why, I'm sure he's a nice guy.

Anyway...

I must say the recently added (24/2/09) mens wear pictures to the A.P.C. website are dreadfully boring. At the moment 2009 looks as though its gonna be a bad year for A.P.C.

The style house needs to continue to interject quirks into its pieces, these small idiosyncrasies makes the brand stand out against everything else. Without these little quirks, their clothes become nothing more than an expensive take on GAP!!! Oh no!

Come on A.P.C. You can do it. Fingers crossed.

Jei,

Quirks are very overrated when it comes to clothes. 80% of the time, it's the quirks that date a piece after a season or two.

What it's really about is nicely cut, classic pieces that won't fall apart and will blend nicely with a variety of other items. APC brings you those perfect classics from the past in a slimmer fit than they were ever originally produced with. What more do you want?
