D'angelo

This is a bit out of the ordinary, but considering music is the most popular thing on the planet maybe not... Anyways, thanks to Billboard, I'm officially now already looking forward to summer. D'Angelo is back, or at least will be. Not only back, but back with Prince and Cee-Lo to go alongside Raphael Saadiq. It's been eight years since Voodoo came out. Since then, no offence to John Legend, no one has touched D'Angelo when it comes to soul and maybe not even in R&B (Chocolate Factory was pretty good). Musically though, I don't think Kells comes close to D'Angelo. We waited four and a half years for his follow up to Brown Sugar and it ended up being worth it. Hopefully since it will have been nine years since his last album it will mean that James River will be twice as good. Oh ya, there's also going to be a tour and he's apparently not fat anymore.

Thanks for the heads up! I've been waiting for this album for years and thought it was a lost cause.

Great! Thanks for posting. I was just listening to D'Angelo over the weekend and I posted a video on my blog. Its a J-Dilla remix to "Those Dreamin Eye's"

Music Artist v2.0.

"Musically though, I don’t think Kells comes close to D’Angelo"

that was a joke, right?

Seriously, VOODOO was basically a coming of age record for me. Deserted Island, Top 5 album.

Been waiting for this day for...hell, for nine years!
