I think having a couple different styles of oxford shirts is pretty important. You want something well fitted for daily wear with trousers, denim and ties but it's nice to have something a little more loose fitting for those anti-fit looks. I've been wearing a pair of EG ripcord pants quite a bit since I got them and could use one of their shirts to compliment it in terms of styling and proportions. After viewing the Fall 09 collection and talking to the people involved in the collection, I have to say I love it even more. Hearing the passion about every detail, the materials and the button placement on their 19th Century BD was pretty exciting - believe it or not. I would also have no problem purchasing this blue color by Engineered Garments since the color isn't in the range of oxfords coming in THE collection...

Sorry, I'm a bit confused by that last sentence... Are they producing this shirt or is it a sample that didn't make the collection? I've got the white version they did a few years back and would love to get a blue one.
They are making it, it's in the spring collection. I'm not making it myself, THE collection by (y) is something coming soon...it was a hint, but possibly poorly executed...
coming soon = when?
It's hard to say if I can release the dates right since things are not fully put into production and some contracts need to be worked out but the goal is late spring.
Thanks Ryan... Not a poor hint, just poor reading on my part!
yeah i cant wait.
Also a good idea to have various fabric weights as well.. The heavier more traditional style oxford weight in the summer just doesn't work. Oxfords in general are probably what I will be wearing most though. Good post.
Hi Simon
I was wondering if you could tell me which stockists have this shirt for sale. Looks like a perfect example of what i am after.
