Adam Kimmel F/W

I'm going to try not to keep posting too many previews of the fall collections but there are some that are definitely worth mentioning, even if they have been blogged else where. Adam Kimmel's unique perspective on menswear has been developing in a great direction the last couple seasons. Whether it's a great concept for a look book or his choice of models, Kimmel seems to be bringing a breath of fresh air into the collection to keep the traditional and classic items a bit more interesting. Most of the winter looks are very comfortable with room to live your daily life. A lot of greys with a nice touch of dark green. I think the deep shade of green can be a tough color to wear in large portions like pants or a suit, but with the right footwear and layering Adam Kimmel has it looking pretty decent.

By all means keep posting F/W stuff until the S/S actually hits the stores.

I think the "elder gentleman" is actually the only flattering thing about that photo...the models are fitting for the looks, but I think that the pieces themselves don't look as though they live up to the price

hahaha I like how the models are A-Ron, Kunle from Irak and I think David Blaine

I take back what I said earlier--there is one other appealing look: the bearded man with the sky blue shirt and the scarf...I'd like a better look at that jacket

Most of the models are artists and people associated w/ the New York art world. Ryan McGinley, Nate Lowman, Glenn O'Brien (editor/chief creative director of Interview, Art in America and all other Brant Publications), maybe Glenn Ligon, Aaron Curry, I think the old guy is Lawrence Weiner... and on...

what?! Glenn Ligon!

I love him! (artwork, though)

If Adam Kimmel were able to sell only two jackets in a year, he would still make a profit. I like some of his taste but his prices are only blowing smoke out of his own ass.
