I decided to compliment all of the items I encourage you readers to buy or wear with a few items that are coming out this spring that I would strongly encourage you not to wear. While there are hundreds if not millions of things I could mention, I will stick to items by relevant brands that are sold in good stores (without naming names). It is hard to make 100% great items in your collection so I am not blaming these shops or brands at all, I am simply urging you to not wear anything resembling these items - and no I'm not putting coveralls onto this list. First up are unnaturally washed jeans. It's just bad. Acid wash, weird colors, unnatural rips and tears etc. No. Also in part one I have to mention sandals. Unless you're using a public shower or at the beach, I would have to say don't wear sandals if you want to look your best - especially weird leather ones. Finally I'm going to have to include see through shirts. I probably shouldn't have to mention that one, but I had to make sure. Thanks in advance.

Thankyou for that very informative PSA
hahaha. almost, nobody understands me in my battle againts sandlas. big up!
LOL on the see through shirts.....and oh so true.
this is great. see-through shirts and sandals....can't get much better than them.
my look for spring/summer is probably going to be prettty basic.. loafers/moc maybe my older boat shoes, roomy pants that I have at the tailor getting tappered a bit.. and a couple loose old BoO button-downs. Also probably throw on some simple shorts when it gets real hot
Hi
Sort of new to the blog here, and while I typically agree with your "DOs", I'm going to have to disagree with these three "DON'Ts".
1) I've been seeing a lot of acid wash out there right now, and while most of it is cringeworthy I think there are a number of ways to normalize it and not make it seem tacky or look-at-me or clownish. If you get a simple pair of black acid wash jeans they are almost just a mottled grey and worn with patternless basics don't seem outre at all to me (confession: I own some).
2)Sandles don't have to be fashion-victim mandles. I've seen some really chic men's gladiator-style sandles that are unfortunately out of my price range by some smaller Italian designers that I don't think would be out of place in a casual-ish office environment (if you can wear jeans or sneakers there, you can wear nice sandles). Again, a question of finding the right pair for the right price.
3) I hesitate to argue FOR see-through shirts, since I know I could never make it work and was traumatized at a tender age by an International Male catalog, but as a piece for our less workwear-inspired friends who enjoy more conceptual layering, it could be okay. Maybe. You might have me here...
Sorry for being so wordy.
So, so true...I hate this kind of jeans.
why don't you like sandals?
its About Time
Someone Printed What I Thought!
Keep It Up.
Look Forward To Part II
PS
You Should Include Thumb Rings & Frosty Tips Too!
Eh...to each their own, but I do agree with you. Keep up the good work.
