Kanata sweaters have been on my radar for a little while, though I was somewhat skeptical. I had this feeling they were making those terrible mall reproductions of Cowichan knits that I have seen pair with far too many UGGs in the last couple years. Anyways, I don't think they do, but I don't know for sure. I do know that they are hand making some nice looking sweaters in BC, Canada that are apparently not nearly as itchy as some of the other Cowichans available. I am a fan of their classic Cowichan patterns but with my desire for the clean and stripped down, I find myself far more drawn to this button up cable knit in all black. This is definitely the kind of Cowichan I would love to have in my closet for some cold winter days. This sweater is begging me to layer up with some boots, chinos, a huge cup of coffee. That situation sounds like it would lead to some serious blogging, but that might just be me...
