Rogues Gallery Deck Boot, Again

I couldn't help but let the you folks know these have been released again, now at Blackbird. They haven't changed since the fall model as far as I know, they are still great. I'm fairly sure the deck boots are made by Quoddy out on the east coast of the U.S.A. My friend has a pair of these and they look great. They don't take long to get a bit of character and unless you work in a shop where these are sold, you probably won't see too many pairs around. However for some reason this season they seem to have jumped in price quite a bit. They are available on Blackbird's online store for $528 US and I am pretty sure they were around $400 Canadian when they released at Nomad last spring. Albam's fall version, which I believe was made by the same people, or at least the same area, were a lot less in the winter as well. I think they are a tough purchase with that increased tag but no matter your current balance, these are great shoes and I'd welcome them into my wardrobe in a second.

why would someone want a boot like that for summer

also you could probably email them and buy that boot off them

They were cheaper but Quoddy have raised their production prices. This is likely to be why they're more expensive this time round.

the Albam ones are fantastic, I also have a pair. Their newest version is made to order only, because of the higher Quoddy production costs. The Albam blog has a bit more info...

These rogues gallery boots are in my opinion fantastic. They didn't try to do anything crazy, they just kept them very clean and classic looking. I took a look at a pair in SCOOP in nyc today and they look great in person and seem to be comfortable based on the soft leather. The price tag won't do, of course as I suspected. $400 is a lot to pay for anything so unless you are rollin with "Rogues Salary" I doubt anyone would put themselves into temporary debt for these. There are boots everywhere right now and the best place to look for them is cheap thrift stores; not the ones that jack up the price because the boots are "vintage worn."

I've a pair of these in brown from a couple seasons back. I think they were just over the 300 mark at the time. I've never worn a pair of boots this much, and they just keep on keepin' on. The price is a little harder to swallow now, but I can't stop myself wanting these in black...
