This Spring/Summer

There are a lot of great looking collections surfacing for the spring. Our Legacy, Nom de Guerre, Kitsune, Mjolk, Band of Outsiders, Engineered Garments among others are looking really great. But when it comes down to the hot weather, this is what I will probably be wearing. I like simple things. I like white tees and oxfords. While this chap's shirt might be a little less fitted than mine, this is pretty much what I am going to live in come summer time. The oxford shirt has really become like my T shirt for the most part. Of course it doesn't work as well for layering, but for throwing on the chinos, denim, slacks or shorts - an oxford does the trick. I feel really comfortable, never under or overdressed and I think it looks good. For the in between months of spring, jackets and slacks from these mentioned labels will fill the spaces and patterns for me. I know it's not really that exciting but a great pair of loafers, oxfords or sneakers paired with a wrinkled oxford shirt is enough for me.

Brooks Brothers, Uniqlo, Supreme, Headporter etc etc. Check the 'Battle of the Oxfords' in one of theprevious issues as well (i'm thinking 7?).

Back to topic - damn right. Oxfords/Tees, A Pair of Shorts or rolled up Chinos and some Vans Authentics is where it's at.

wait for this spring to see some perfect oxford shirts...possibly with the h(y)r collective name attached...grey, red and white....

yeah the battle of oxfords was weak and im not seeing what im looking for from any of the above brands. A good white oxford is easy to find, blue pretty easy as well. A grey oxford is on trend, but its really hard to get one in the kind of thicker fabric I need, i wish Gitman Bros did a grey.

Take Ivy?

Damn it John, you're getting me excited here. I told you just wait for the spring. I'm not saying any more other than Gitman Bros for THE collection by (y).

No, you didn't step on toes...I'm happy your looking for a grey Gitman Bros oxford since we are making some.

you are making Oxfords with Gitman Bros? when will they be available? this is great news, but why no blue?

January 6, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterrob

I would assume cause Roden Gray already has the blue, and more importantly: white, red and grey are sort of the Hyr colours. I definitely am happy that Hyr is doing a grey gitman bros, the only thing that would make me happier is if a free one magically arrived in the mail ;)

Ya, blue is a bit more available already on the market and we decided to go with the grey instead because they are tough to find in a good fit, or at all.

You'll have to wait unfortunately for more info, but in the next couple months we'll be sure to let you know all of the info and the stock list which is shaping up nicely.

Thanks for the good comments about the project.
