Nepenthes NY Peacoat

Nepenthes NY Chapter have come up with a pretty great looking pea coat. Not exactly the 'classic' looking style we see every day Spiewak or even Club Monaco among hundreds of others. While these options aren't bad, there is something unmistakably Japanese looking with this chino-lined pea coat. I feel it gives off that Japanese look and feel of authenticity, but it is that very authenticity that Americans are missing out on as Michael from ACL commented in his Sierra Design post. It definitely seems like it's going the way he mentions of only being able to find the true authentic, original Americana designs overseas. It's sort of sad our market doesn't have the same attention to detail or care for their own personal aesthetics. Whatever way you look at it, at least somebody is making some great clothing somewhere and with our tightly knit global community, nothing is too far out of a credit card's reach. Available at Eggplant.

Sorry I didn't even get to the great design details; great round collar, double breasted metal buttons all the way down, lined with cotton chino, perfect length - beautiful.

Odin had a few of these earlier this season. They might still have some in stock.

I ordered this peacoat from Odin last week for $225. The beautiful design details you mentioned, as well as its fit definitely sets it a part from similarly priced peacoats.
