Tenue de Nîmes is quite an interesting shop & agency in Amsterdam that claims to be a “denim based concept store”. While this may be the case at it’s roots, the shop is doing a fine job all around; from their printed journal to their latest collection arrival of Nigel Cabourn. The shop physically looks sharp but it is their approach to the branding, design and print work that originally caught my eye. Hiring the talented Anothercompany, the store has produced two issues if their printed Journal to cover and showcase some of the products, people and ideas that have help created the shop. Nigel Cabourn’s collection marks a nice step in a direction I am looking forward to. Beyond the wonderful Cameraman and Mallory jacket being available, there should be an interesting article in an upcoming issue of the Journal de Nîmes. I actually just received the first 2 issues of the journal and as expected, I was very impressed. The design is beautiful, the articles are nicely written and the photography is just right. Do pick up a copy and visit the shop if you have the chance.
