The waxed cotton shell is lined with wool for the usual protection against the elements of winter. The snap button closures and simple pocketing look just right of the out shell. Having a small shawl collar is also a good option as it's easy to flip up when the wind picks up, without being over the top and covering your ears. Steven Alan has yet to disappoint me and this deck jacket is really great. I have been seeing deck jackets all over the place now that I've begun to want one. One of the better military inspired garments for sure.
