Blackbird have apparently opened a new shop in Ballard to showcase some of their American heritage brands including, Woolrich Woolen Mills, Filson, RRL, Red Wing, Alden and a selection of candles, soaps as well as some vintage garments. Mister Crew reports on the new shop with some nice photos of the space and product being offered. It looks absolutely great to me. The cuttered layout works very nicely with the balance of brick walls, fall coloured flannel and candles and flowers. The product curation is much more focused in this space and everything seems to work together nicely, down to the name. Browsing the images, I can spot at least a handful of items I would love to pick up, there is no information regarding the shop otherwise, so you'll do well to make a trip to Ballard yourself if possible.

I like the platform that these new shops are using. Growing up in rural Oregon, these shops remind me of the feed stores we've got all over the area. Shops that were cluttered with workwear, boots and all the farm/work supplies you'd ever want. These bring back a little of that nostalgia somebody like myself might need even if I spend a good deal of my life staring at a computer screen. I bailed hay as a kid, I ran a swather, just because I don't now doesn't mean we can't all appreciate some well made garments in a really well put together space. Looking forward to visiting.

Wow! What a great store! I've spotted several items in these pictures of stuff I own or would buy in a heartbeat. They create such an appealing environment with this space. I wouldn't see why any dude or gal would not wanna go inside and take a gander. That's how you do retail!
I noticed the shop was picking up more and more heritage and Americana brands...
would love to visit :) p.s. that Chimala Wool Coverall....+swoon+
May have to make a trip South for this.
