No surprises here, I'll probably mention these boots come each rainy season. The Bean boots have a rich and interesting history I'm not going to get into today. Besides the fact they just plain look great, they are probably one of the best all around shoes you could have on hand. They're affordable, you don't worry about them getting wet, they keep you warm and they look just as good on you as your dad, grandpa or son. My 8" Bean boots have made their fall debut this week and have been immediately put into heavy use as the drop in temperature and rainfall was an unfortunate turn. The high boot is great for the depths of winter with a GoreTex lining, but I've been interested in picking up a pair of the low cut mocs to match. They are slightly more ideal for spring, but when the rain is light and the mercury rises a little, they are a great weekend option for cruising the town or a vineyard.

These look a bit like some cross-dressing shoe freakout...part wellington boot, part Redwing part clog,
I'm out!
I'll co-sign on that. These are horrible, Ryan. It's like a guy with a really horrible looking girfriend - you wonder what part of her looks he's attracted to. Enough with the shitty metaphors. I'm out as well!
i never got the redwing, and god i don't get these either..
johnson, my mates have a few of those
^It's not even up for debate. These are classic, have been for decades and will always be. They're functional and look good.
Ryan - I emailed you a while back about the L.L. Bean piece I was looking to put together. Since I know you're busy and may not have time to compose something new would you mind if I include this when the piece runs?
They may be functional but they do not look good. Possibly the ugliest shoes I've ever seen.
i agree with ryan, these are just classics...end of discussion. objectively speaking they do look pretty damn weird...but it just doesnt matter
ryan your general readership sucks. fact
Only at Inventory will you see an uproar against Bean Boots. You guys sure are hard to please.
How about the 50 different butt-ugly sneaker combos Hypebeast farts out everyday?
^What does that say about me? Hah
I am standing by the Bean boots, along with the other products I've noted on here...that's all I can really speak for. I'm not sure if all of our visitors agree with most things? I suppose not...

Best goddamn purchase I made last year. Living in Vancouver these boots make me want to get outside and trek around in the wet. Utility = beauty, and these boots have both in spades.
Bean Boots have been on the top of my list for some time now... I can't get down with the shoes, but I'm all for the boots.. Alas, there is no LL Bean even near the west so I might never be able to own a pair. The tonal brown is what's up too... as apposed to the classic khaki/brown.
The photos do these no justice whatsoever - they are in fact, badass.
Anybody know a good way to get LL Beans in Europe? Online shop?
Tres Bien, how about it?
these are surely the best looking shoes for the northeast for sure.
I mean, I will not be sporting these on a non-snowy or rainy day, but they are the best in them.
jani, how about just ordering from llbean, rather easy
worst.look.ever.

wow your readers are douchbags and do not understand the WASP life of the northeast
