Engineered Garments WA Field Jacket

engineered-garments-wa-field-jacket-1The Bureau might be my favorite store these days, at least I know they are getting a fair share of my earnings lately. Their selection of Engineered Garments, Margaret Howell, S.N.S. and Gitman Vintage is right up my alley - and there are several other items and brands that could have made that list twice as long. One of the EG items they recently received caught my eye as I haven't seen it elsewhere this fall. The WA Field Jacket is a really ideal version of the classic military M-65 coat. The navy wool serge works really well with the cut and is a great weight for the piece. I picked up the Baker in the navy wool serge and OP has the WA Field Jacket from spring, so I can imagine the two combining for a really classic and easy to wear jacket. The lack of epaulets and addition of the button across neck is just the right combination to keep the jacket subtle and useful. I'll definitely be chalking this up on the list of things I'd love to have and wear but just can't pick up this season.

can you post your "list of things I’d love to have and wear but just can’t pick up this season?"

Ryan,

As you own both the bedford and the baker, can you post your thoughts on these? If you had to have one which would it be and why? I've seen both available in the navy serge wool and can't decide between the two. Which is more versatile, better silhouette, etc?

I love this jacket. Last season I think Barney's was thwe only ones to get it in thisa colorway. I picked it up from there warehouse sale in San Fran. Its a great jacket and it light weight.(great for not-so-cold houston winters)
