WANT: Alden Shoe Tree

Alden Shoe tree

I wish these came with the shoes. I've got a couple pairs of Alden's at home and they all need shoe trees. I can be a little silly when it comes to brand cohesion and things working together, so I'm afraid a shoe tree by Alden would be the only kind that would work, and leave my mind at ease. It's unfortunate as there is nowhere to buy them around here and they cost between $60-80 whenever I find them online. When you're spending a couple hundred dollars on footwear you plan on having for decades, it is worth an extra investment to make they last those extra couple seasons in the end.

hey ryan, get some trickers or alfred sargents from pediwear.co.uk next time as they come with free shoe trees (and a bad looking tie).

Whats the feeling towards split toe versus solid toe shoe trees?

Allen Edmonds sells a shoe tree that looks exactly like that. I wouldn't be surprised if the Alden tree is made by the same company. Allen Edmonds eBay store has them at excellent prices.

Those particular ones are made by the Rochester Shoe Tree Company (they also make them Allen Edmonds and other companies, which is why many of them look the same). I would definitely not spend that much money on them, as you can buy the non-branded ones for a fraction of Alden's MSRP.

The Johnston and Murphy branded shoe trees are exactly the same, and they're $30 or even $25 each for two pair.

Further, everything I've read states you dont need shoe trees for every pair of shoes, just a single set to transfer from pair of shoes to pair of shoes directly after you wear them.

Does anyone knows if anyone makes snicker-shaped shoetrees?
I have a pair of black patent leather Common Projects, which could take good use of a shoetree.

You can get the same trees minus the Alden badge for $12.00-18.00 at Most Nordstrom Rack stores. I believe that they are made by Rochester as stated above.

Try these Rochester Shoe Tree (my bet is that they are the supplier for Alden). You can get them at $13.80 each (includes shipping): http://cgi.ebay.com/5-pairs-Rochester-Red-Cedar-wood-Shoe-Trees-New_W0QQitemZ300311702563QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Men_s_Shoes?hash=item45ebf8ec23
