Kazuki's Originals by Originals Adidas collection has been out for a while now yet I haven't paid much attention to it. I'd only seen it in passing here and there and to be honest most of it was catching my eye for the wrong reasons. The Mod parka however is a different story. Its slightly fishtailed shape was the first thing that interested me about it as a longer coat is something that's eluded me to date and I don't think I'm quite ready to go the trench or covert route just yet. In trying it on at Goodfoot the other day, the fit was a pleasant surprise as it's slightly slimmed down in the shoulders and chest unlike most other outwear options. The drawstring waist adds another aspect to the slimmed down silhouette and the leather tab on the end of the strings are a perfect finishing detail. While you can't go wrong with the classic black version, around here we've been all about earth tones with a hit of colour provided it's yellow, orange or red so the olive one gets the nod from me. While it comes with a pretty steep price tag, the Goretex, lining and taped seams warrant the value as its quality rivals that of high-end performance outerwear. It can also be had online at End.
