Anybody familiar with Visvim and Hiroki Nakamura knows that the brand is always in search of ways to offer the best product possible. We saw images from Horween's blog about Hiroki's visit earlier this year and we didn't have to wait long to see some of the end results. This fall the legendary FBT and Serra Hiker come curresty of Horween tanned leathers. Well known for their work with Alden and their #8 Cordovan, The somewhat unlikely pair deliver one of the finest versions we've seen in either model. I sort of felt I was personally over the FBT model, or at least not in need of another pair, but these are making me think again. Both pairs are now available at Union LA.

How can you be over this model? Personally, when not wearing desert boots, oxfords or the Virgil boot, the only shoe I can really see myself waering is the FBT. It's casual yet very stylish. To be honest, I'm having a very hard time finding another 'universal' pair of shoes such as the FBT and it's killing me, seeing as shoes are my passion.
However, very good post indeed.
The new Club Monaco gray cashmere puffer is also a nice alternative for a fraction of the price.
I picked up the burgundy FBTs from Union this week and I could not be happier. I was thinking about the Maliseets, but figuring that these are much more wearable, I went with these knowing I would get my money's worth.
