The INVENTORY team have just woken up in Tokyo after flights coming in from Vancouver and London. Simon, Owen and myself (Ryan) are here for 8 days of exploring, interviews and meetings. We've got an exciting list of things to do including interviews with White Mountaineering and BEAMS in our first few days. We wanted to apologize for a little bit slower than usual action on the Updates, but we will try to keep everyone updated on the shops we visit, products we see and places we go to. We have a laundry list of stores to see but if anybody has recommendations to add to the list, or good restaurants to try, feel free to leave comments. The response has been great regarding our first printed issue as well. They are flying out of the Stockroom so far, and we are adding more stockists to the list each day. More updates on that on our return.
Thanks,
–Inventory Team

So jealous. Have a great time!
Have a great time! The 100% Chocolate Cafe is pretty dope, if for the wonderwall interior alone.
you definitely need to check out the following shops:
Contemporary Fix: Great concept shop with good selection of Bedwin, Numero Uno, Visvim
Bridge: Deluxe Flagship
Undercover Aoyama: New store build out is sick and fall09 is even better.
BlackFlag: Wtaps, Wacko Maria, Rats
Isetan Mens
Really looking forward to this. Horribly jealous as well though!
You need to lunch at Harajuku Gyoza or Maisen. The two places I always visit in Tokyo. Enjoy
Wow, it's like you guys are the first ever guys who went to Japan. Say, do they have flying cars over there, already? Please report from this ubermysterious country they call "Japon"!
Excuse me now, I'll have to throw on my "preppy 1930s factory worker" swag.
This sounds crazy I'm sure but check out the Evisu store in Diakayama. The Evisu "sold only in japan"
line is worth checking out. They also make good quality shoes and boots. The store it's self is historical
in the Trad/Classic American/Workwear emergence. It's nice to see what the brand has been doing for the past 18 years. http://maps.google.com/maps/place?hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=evisu+tokyo&fb=1&gl=us&hq=evisu&hnear=tokyo&cid=13383248185760663407
best store in tokyo - Soph, great service there.
High Standard in Daikanyama is a must.
Try Nakameguro area (next to daikanyama) So original! you'll love it.
For some of the best sushi- go here: Sukiyabashi Jiro in Toyosu.
Have a walk around Chinzan-so garden.
Enjoy "Japanese sake" at izakaya.
Take an onsen bath.
Tokyo is one of my favorite cities! Have a blast!
Ganbate and kiyotsukete! (Good luck and take care!)
Kanpai! (Cheers!)
what a great place to visit -- enjoy.
