Free & Easy have paired up with Warehouse for another great piece this fall. I know, it's a mind blowing garment to look at laying flat on a white background. But try to image the peak of a ruffled collar poking out of the high crew neck, a tattered shirt tail twisted to the side and blowing out the bottom, a pair of well worn chinos, perhaps reinforced at the knee, along with a bit of stain from swabbing the deck or polishing the brass finishings on board. Maybe a nice pair of mocs, deck sneakers or a knit cap to top it off and the picture is nearly complete. I know you're feeling far away from this blog right now, but let's bring it back to reality – this USS Navy Sweater is made from 100% wool by Warehouse in Japan, just for Free & Easy's Rugged Musuem, and that's just where you can find it.—

No need to justify the post on this one.
It's almost mock-neck gives it a gone but not forgotten shape that seems new but totally classic. Looks good!

Great piece.
Do these Japanese websites ship to the US? More importantly, how does one place an order not knowing Japanese??
Really good write up on this one.
I love simple quality sweaters like these. Maybe you wont get loads of compliments wearing it, but thats not what it's about.
DHP: To order from Japan you need a proxy, they charge 10-15% of the items value normally for the service.
I found a deadstock version of this exact USN sweater at the flea last month-the NAME/RATE tag still blank, the wool is a nice light weight compared to other USN sweaters I've seen. A faithful reproduction.
Yeah I almost copped an original at Mister Freedom L.A for a hefty price but it had a hole in it. On the hunt for another.
