There are so many options with Alden's footwear I don't think I can ever get bored. These Alden Long Wings come in a black leather and with a slightly unexpected "brothel creeper" sole unit. I saw the long wing with a crepe sole once on a pair Mr. Wayne Pate had pulled out for me to see. While the crepe sole and leather toe aren't my first choice for the long wing - I think it looks great and definitely adds a beefy fall feeling to the American classic. I don't think it's the kind of shoe for everyone, but maybe the long wing collector who would like to diversify or for somebody who feels a leather sole could be too formal for their aesthetic. These are available at the Japanese shop Silver and Gold, I really love the way they do their product shots on the site. Just throw the shoes down and snap the pictures, at least it feels like it was that easy.

Great looking longwings!
nice shoes, but the name of the sole is even better!
I'm always a fan of crepe soles. I've never heard of that store before but they've got a lot of EG stuff.

Not sure if its for me but the crepe sole is definitely a nice touch and very unique for this type of shoe.
