If you've picked up Inventory magazine or have been paying attention to the Stockroom, you might know that we have some Gitman Bros. shirts on the way. It's definitely later than we'd hoped to have them, but ordering the custom fabrics and having to tweak the body and gussets added to the rigid time line. Anyways, better late than never and the shirts are now on their way to our HQ and we couldn't be more excited. Gitman Vintage has quickly become one of the best known oxford shirt suppliers around the world, and for good reason. The shirts have a great fit, are made in the USA, they're tough and they just look great. I don't need to go into the details of why Gitman makes good shirts - but our shirts are particularly good as we've made up a couple fabrics that we couldn't find in the cut we wanted. The navy oxford cloth is a great year-round weight and colour. Although working nicely with dark winter tones, the light coloured buttons keep the shirt very versatile. The chambray BD was just what we needed and offer a great alternative to EG's 19th Century, which has a more boxy, traditional fit. Our chambray is easy to wear and works perfectly with a casual tie. We also tweaked the gusset on the body to find the right height and a great aesthetic. We aren't accepting any more pre-orders for the shirts, but we're hoping they will be available in the Inventory Stockroom by the end of the week.
Note: The final chambray has white stitching throughout and unfortunately didn't show up with the chest pocket button.

I've never understood your obsession with raising the gusset in shirts.
What is the added aesthetic benefit? ..because I can't see one.
No offense intended, I just think Gitman got that bit right the first time around.
That said, I really like your guys' overall taste and the fabrics look really good.
Would love to see the navy blue one in full.. and even order one in XL if they're not all snatched up by pre-orders.
Really nice guys, love the chambray
Son of a...if I didn't have so many damn chambrays this would be mine. Great work Inventory.
Really hope there's a L left on the chambray cuz I gotta gets that!
Is the fit any different to your first Gitman batch?
A run of 70 per color. Don't sleep on this one, folks.
^Thanks - they are already going pretty fast.
I didn't mean for it to sound like an obsession with the gusset - we just like the look and feel of it, and it took some work to get right with Gitman. The shirts will fit quite similar to how the standard Gitman Vintage shirts fit. We'll have the official measurements when they arrive.
Thanks

is the boxier cut of the chambray closer to the standard fit? I am hoping I can get my hands on the navy, especially if the cut is slim.
I also noticed your Duluth packs are sold out now. is there going to be another run at some point? the bag looked great as is, but I would grab one in black too without thinking twice.
^Both shirts will have a similar slim fit to the Gitman Vintage - We felt there aren't too many chambray BD shirts that are more slim fitting and ideal for tucking in or wearing with a tie - so this is a nice chambray counter part to the more boxy work shirt.
We are continuing to work with Duluth Pack - we should be releasing our second round of back packs in February, but there will be some subtle changes in colour and details, so stay tuned.

You aren't accepting any more pre-orders. So how many will you have left when they do go online? I'm hoping to get the navy in a small -- I realise I'll have to act fast.
So I'd have to take it strait to the tailor to take the sides back in again??
What are we looking at for pricing?
are these going to be available at roden gray?
^ They will only be available in our online shop. The demand has been so high that wholesaling to other accounts who then sell it online isn't really making sense for us.
^Zach - I'm not sure what you mean? They'll fit like a Gitman Vintage shirt - they won't be boxy like a work shirt.
Patrick - we're trying to cut off the pre-orders.... but if you email us at stockroom@inventorymagazine.com, it's unlikely we'll turn you down...
Thanks for all of the support – both shirts will be $170
