More Visvim, sorry (last one for a while). But, thanks to a spread in Japanese magazine Sense, us North American fiends get the most comprehensive look at the Spring line as well as a bit of a lookbook shot in Cuba. You've probably seen most of the stuff already but there is still more 'new' items. A handful of spring jackets, madras and some new models of footwear. While it's nice to see the whole collection together, it's the lookbook that I'm excited about. The photography and Cuba looks really awesome and it's especially nice to see full Visvim looks. A lot of the pieces on their own can look kind of odd and have you (or at least me) wondering how and why anyone would wear them. Pieces like a madras bucket hat, eggplant FBTs and a zip-up team jacket with little purple clouds all over it are some examples. But then you see them in the look book and they look amazing. Maybe, or probably, it's just a case of perfect Japanese styling but it makes me want to try and look like a Son cubano drummer this summer. Check the spread below. Thanks to CADMUSfamily for the scans.

I'd rock the wallabee style shoes and certainly those plaid jackets. But you're right, it's hard from just looking at the pieces what you'd do with them. sigh...we'll just have to go to japan to try it all on....
so well done.
not even a huge fan of Visvim, but this makes a few pieces look really attractive...
as well as the young lady in the lavender FBTs.
Dr.Dogface I agree with you man I'm not big fan of visvim but this is really good. Has this real island feel that im vibing off of right now accompanied by all the frute swagz colors.
I almost love everything. Didn't really like all the
fruit colors, but the girl in the purple FBTs actually does make
them look great. And shooting there lookbook in Cuba seems
so unique. Very different from all the other looksbooks out there.
love that its set in cuba.
such a beautiful country.
used to love visvim for many seasons, but this is not visvim! g-line sucked and a big part of this collection is not much different from g-line...some pieces even worse!
it seems that hiroki is evolving visvim too far away from what it originally supposed to be (not only in terms of looks but also pricing!) and obviously he's doing it at the wrong time!
On one hand, some of the Cuba shots turned out nice. On the other, something feels a bit wrong outfitting locals in clothes that would cost them 2+ years' salary (for just a single item!)
Their line building and visual merchandising are stellar. Nakamura knows how to present a collection.
Although, shot in beautiful Cuba, the magazine’s styling is just aight. The images of the product laid out show a well focused line with a clear color direction. But the styling just comes off like a Lands End catalogue.
I love it all. As said up top, from what I know, seen, and heard about, Cuba is a beautiful place and that added to it...
I agree with Faye, but I think its a bit impractical to judge a brand by its growth. Nothing stays the same, and its evident most people love the "early parts" anything. Shit I feel that way about music. You cant hate on the evolution of a brand imo....brands grow just like people. I think Visvim has been pretty consistant as far as staying within its own aesthetic still releasing products that are relative to its original basics and being able to dive into different realms using different color palettes.
Pricing...speaks for itself...hahaha that I cant justify.
ya i agree with greenjeans, interesting outfit but not everyone can wear that, atleast anyone young. that old dude looks pretty chill tho. visim definetly has some great pieces, but mostly im a visvim elk leather guy
either you love it or hate it
that's what makes it better than everything else
what is better--the materials or the immaculate japanese styling?
