Our Legacy / Tres Bien Re-Launch

our-legacy-tbWell, Our Legacy is officially all of the daily blog right now, but I have no problem with it. The more I see, the more I like. Although its not the full collection, a lot of great pieces are now available on Tres Bien Shop's new website which launched today. The shop was awarded retailer of the year by us here at h(y)r collective in 2008, and it seems they are on pace to continue their path. They have added Martin Margiela, Woolrich Woolen Mills, Dries Van Noten and Head Porter Plus to the list this spring, among a few others. I feel it's safe to say they carry the closest to my dream stock list as any store in the world. The new store is nice, easy to navigate and surely will be filled up with a lot more great spring pieces for you to spend your money on, I am pretty sure I will be. Remember that lovely VAT for us non EU members as well, 25% the listed retail price at checkout. Our Legacy's suede oxfords and wingtips with natural leather sole are also stand out items, as I have been searching for something just like it lately, great job.

In my opinion, this Tres Bien model makes it almost impossible for me to like the clothes. Not the fault of the model, of course, but the clothes just don't fall correctly on him. Remember how inspired the first Our Legacy lookbook was, with Jockum and Co. wearing their own clothes?

Am I the only one who feels this way?

You're right. I've heard that from a few people. I was a bit sad as well...I forgot to mention it in the post.

i mean the guy is my body type (about 6ft not rail thin) so it gives me a better idea of how this stuff will look on me

Our Legacy is really piquing my interest, especially at the price points. Ryan, what pieces do you own and can you attest to its overall quality?

and on the topic of pricing, this VAT thing... so when i convert the prices on the Tres Bien site to USD i then take the 25 percent off? So its 90 bucks for one of their oxfords? this seems too good to be true

As far as I can tell, if you add everything into your cart and enter your country it'll have the VAT exlcuded price. Plaid shirts are 110 USD i believe.

Actually they're 100 USD. Still a great deal on most items with the 25% off though.

Glad someone noticed it, too. I'm far from the ideal frame myself, but something just seems off.

Maybe it's the skeasy 'stache?

so what about import tax

February 18, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterrobbo

they use fedex and i normally get charged about $30-50 in duty fees (i'm in toronto). they are good about marking down (putting a lower amount) the total of the order on the customs form so that the duty charges aren't too high. it's really quick shipping, but i prefered when they use to use regular swedish post because i almost never got charged duty fees.

yeah that stash makes him look like he is a baseball hot-dog vender, or a reno 911 cop. Clothes look pretty damn good though.
