Acne Wailer Jacket

acne-wailerThis Wailer Man jacket by Acne is definitely one of the more interesting pieces I actually like for the spring collections I've seen. The lightweight toggle coat has a waxed treated outer shell with no shortage of details. Bamboo toggles with nice buttons on all pickets and the sleeves, along with an adjustable hood, throat closure for when the seas get rough and your hot on that whales' tail. I really like the collar of the jacket and Acne's slim fit usually agrees with me quite well. I have never actually owned any of their denim but have been far more into their knitted sweaters and jackets - this is a good reason why.

I suggest you get into their pop chinos. The fit is truly unparalleled in my opinion. I am 6' 3" and a 36" inseam, thus one can imagine how hard chino shopping is for one such as myself. Unfortunately, Acne is a Stockholme brand, meaning that everything they have is imported. That essentially means that they are about $150 on final sale, the normal price for a designer pair of chinos. I don't think you even want to know how much they are when they aren't on sale. I think this jacket is great, a true classic and aptly named. I am certainly digging the Captain Ahab look; I just don't have the white beard to go with it.

This piece is such a good look, Outlooks in Victoria just received this jacket with their first shipment of the Acne Spring collection. Check them at Outlooksformen.com.

I've always asserted that men ought never wear a garment with toggles, but I watched Home Alone 2 the other day and I liked Kevin's green duffel coat so maybe I'm wrong.
