Common Projects Spring Collection

cp2The collection has now arrived around the globe at a number of shops like Oki-ni and others. We are still happy to present the collection in its most complete form in the latest issue h(y)r collective. The shoes are again my favorite sneakers available. Not only do I love the OG achilles models but really like the soft gray color addition to the perforated achilles, tournament low and mid and safari boot. With a handful of beautiful and very wearable new models in the collection, Common Projects again delivers the stripped down classics with their minimal detailing and high quality construction. While I do admit I'm not a huge fan of the perforated mid top tournaments with the Velcro, there are a lot more positives than negatives as the brand continues to move forward. My top pics over all are the tournament lows in the soft grey, safari boots in both nappa leather and the canvas and the mid top with the white toe cap. I never wear chucks but I would wear these. Check the feature for the rest of the images and stockists for the spring.

some beautiful shoes. i wish the achilles low came in the same colors as the lows with the toe cap...toe cap makes them look too much like converse. if im paying this much, i dont want them to look exactly like converse

Common Projects! Wow doesn't get much better. When these shoes came out I almost wet myself. After about a year of fantasizing I finally copped a pair of achilles lows. 09 is starting out great!

Common Projects: Please make shoes for the girls! My feet are too small to fit in the smallest men's size!

Its too bad the prices seem to be going up. Those safaris are cool

Katlin, I think you are going to have to grow your feet out a bit.

The prices are indeed creeping up. It's hard, budgest get tight, international shipping and costs go up. Not the best combo...but if you want something badly enough, you can make it happen. The fact is whether the prices go up 10 or 40 at time, these shoes are still a great investment. I've bought a couple pairs at full retail price and haven't regretted it at all.

i think they blew it with the spring collection

call me snobbish

those strap jointz are just terrible

dont you think we often get too much of a good thing?

February 4, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterkix

...tho ill admit, the safari modal is pretty dope...

I scored my one and only CP pair at a sample sale for a mere $100 - and I am hooked!!! I will be on the look-out for these shoes once they go on sale. Those safari boots are especially on the top of my list.

........

Def with you on that Mike (kix)...and my peers also feel the same. I do like the safari style, but the vivid color and white laces did nothing for what used to be a very clean and subtle shoe.

half of them are shitty but the safari's in canvas are dope, too bad they'll probably be $400+

February 4, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterChris

I think my feet are done growing. :(
I'll just find a guy and make him wear CP. That's as close as I can get. Or I could just buy the smallest size and pretend like nothing's wrong!

don't you get bored posting the same boring sneakers in different colors all the way thru?

February 6, 2009 | Unregistered CommenteriSynth

The prices are too high. Online shops sells them USD 300 and above excluding shipping. Times like this. Who is interested to make our own shoes ? Any designers ?

February 23, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterFUNFANFUEL

some nice ones in this collection, some not.

prices are relative, sure they're expensive, but if you can't afford them, don't but them
