A.P.C. x Nike Release

nikexapcThese are probably some of the most blogged about shoes in the last few months as we've seen leaked shots from Matt George to Tres Bien to poorly shot images in their own catalog. Now the shoes are actually hitting stores in the very near future starting with the likes on Honyee. These are probably the best images to date, and to be honest the more I see them, the less I want them. I never was thinking I needed a pair but I do think the collaboration and execution for that particular shoe is good. I personally just find that with the toe cap on a Nike the shoes just become a bit too bulky for me. Fortunately I have a pretty good selection of footwear already and I think if I were to acquire these it would be strictly because it was A.P.C. and Nike and that isn't probably a good enough reason - especially since the reseller game is down. However if I had to get them, I would go with the blue ones. Get your proxy lined up early if you do need them, they should be available on hynee.store any day.

the toe i god ugly. They are like Jack Prucell's and I hate those. Why, oh why has Common Projects stopped making the court model :(

They're also available via apc.fr, though they have been on there for a little while so some sizes have sold out.

Unfortunately I disagree with Ryan and would not buy these just becos they are from APCXnike. I would rather source the originals with the pale blue swoosh. There were a few pairs floating on ebay late last year and they are probably NOS still available in a few factories in Taiwan.

Overhyped shite IMO.

V6B0C5,

I know my writing isn't great, but I said that is the only reason to buy these, and it's not a good. That would translate into I'm not buying these, for any reason, because none are good.

Dude, this is what I'm talking about. Sheesh, get a style manual and check your freaking grammar. And I could use less YOU. Me, me, me. I'm mean, I'm stoked on your footwear collection and all, but you should stick to reporting on product and lose the personal wish list vibe. We get it, this is your blog, the content is dictated by your taste, you don't have to insert yourself into every single thing you write. I'd like to come here and check out some new gear, not learn about which colorup Ryan wants.

Mine are in the post, one red, one blue.

There are plenty of other less personal mens clothing/product/gear blogs. I kinda like this informal style. You don't have to agree with him; I'm sure we're all grown up enough to make decisions on whether or not we concur with his personal tastes. Some dude posts shit he thinks is cool, you go "that's wack" or "that's suhweet" = profit for everyone.

That said, these shoes are most def wack. Dumbest collab in recent memory.

get them because they're apc. not because they advertise child labor. I'm not trying to say I'm perfect, that I've never owned a pair of nikes in the past, or that I never buy things from sweatshops. But at this point there's a difference between anything made in another country, an nike. It's a question of semiotics. And to me, anything nike, be it the swoosh on a shoe or the chuck taylor star, it all symbolizes an advertisement for really unfortunate business practices.

i disagree i think they're dope.

and the whole bulky too thing is because it's an nike all court. thats a feature of the shoe that im sure APC knew about when they picked the model. and i think it works really well.

it was a smart idea on nike's part to bring back the all court with APC, dont think the general consumer would have been ready for it without the APC tie in.

yo "love"

your just choked cause APC did a collab with your moms foxhole, but no one wanted anything to do with it cause cause it was the "dumbest collab in recent memory."

These are not for streetwear people; these are for people who have minimalistic style values and like pared-back cool shit. For me, this is exactly what I want from a trainer... I want a viable alternative to plain white converse! I haven't bought a pair of Nike trainers for years and years; probably since the first round of retro Jordan 1's in the late nineties. It all became a bit tired when they started marketing to collectors in my opinion. I've had a pair of these APC/Nikes for a while now, and like other canvas kicks they just get better and better the more worn they get.
