Finding chinos that fit well is not easy. I am fairly picky with how pants fit me and chinos are the hardest of all to find in the right proportion. The best I'd personally found were BDG (UO in-house line) but unsurprisingly, they aren't very high quality, and they didn't have khaki colored chinos when I was in last. I wanted something casual, not too skinny, and definitely not loose fitting, something along the lines of a New Standard is ideal. Wings+Horns seem to be slightly refining their direction for the spring as they are offering oxford shirts, traditionally styled military jackets, a Macintosh style coat, slim wool pants, and of course the chino pant. I think the spring collection from W+H is probably their most classic looking to date. The chinos come in olive green and a great khaki tone. They are a great all season weight and feature taped seams, fifth change pocket, 100% cotton and really nice detail buttons. The fit is really nice. Great for rolling up or letting sit on your footwear of choice. I have worn them already with both my Redwing 875's and red sole dirty buck and found they worked well with both. I could probably have fit my waist into a 30 for a very slim fit but I decided to go with the 32 for a slightly more relaxed look that would work better for me, and with some EG items. They have a really nice solid texture as well that feels it will last a couple years and break in really nicely. Plus it feels good supporting a brand that designs and manufacturers here in Vancouver, Canada.Available at Roden Gray for $228 Can.

I recommend Filson's alternative to a chino
It's a waxed canvas material; fucking awesome.

IMO $228 for a chino during recession is absurd. Gap chino for under $50 is definitely a better alternative in the current macroeconomic environment.
I picked up some of the classic fit khakis from J.Crew for about $25 us. i like the fit much better than the gap classic khakis.
I gotta say, those W&G chinos look awesome. And I have a pair of the tin cloth Filson's. I'm 6'3 so I got them in a 32 by 36 inseam(inseam not very easy to come by). I really do love them though. They fit me well and are stain resistant and water-repellent. Good investment that seems like it will last me plenty of years. Definately interested in these chinos. I got the filsons tapered even more than they were originally, but these ones seem like they may have already done the job for me.
these pants are a waste of money, there are definetely better options out there.
uniqlo vintage chino is whats up. these do look nice though, and w and h is always on some top quality.
i really wanted one, but i dont think they do smaller waist sizes.
Thanks for the review Ryan, they look like a solid option.
HPP and Vis make beautfiul Chinos as well, and there is always the Dickies and Carhartt Pants...
