Some Rag & Bone Spring

rbRag & Bone...it's good right? I have been tittering on the fence in the last couple months with how much I like the brand as a whole - since they won't email me back... I have found that there are usually quite a few pieces each season I like a fair bit, but they either don't fit quite perfect, or are a little bit more than I feel I want to spend on them. I guess that isn't a bad thing, I've just gone to potentially buy something a few times, and it never really works out, so maybe there is a jaded consumer in me somewhere. Either way, I've seen the collection look great in the real world mixed into classic wardrobes of friends and colleagues. I particularly like the cut of the short shawl cardigan. Their shirts are usually quite solid as well, and of course I like the selection of blues quite a bit - the more blues I see together, the more I like blue.

so you might not like them 'cause they won't answer your emails? be prepared to hate them then.

Anyway... I used to love R&B but I think I have slowly fallen out of love with them over the last few season. A loss for them, because like 80% of my denim is from them. Don't know that I'd buy more though. I miss the days of their simple, well-made garments. Now they are fashion.

I bought my first piece from them this past season...got it on sale at a great price..price points are a little high but you can find some good sales sometimes. loved the "great coat" they put out this past season and all things considered the price point of that was not that bad.

A "work" shirt for $365. That makes me laugh.

stop sleeping people. rag & bone has been around for a while. i've been on this since 05. slow clap for nomad for jumping on the bandwagon a year or so ago.

Does it really matter how long you've been on it? Ralph Lauren has been around since '67... doesn't mean you can't discuss whether you like them or not. As long as a brand makes good clothes they're relevant. Labels change, the designs change. It's an ongoing process.

haha you guys are going to start sounding like those kids who argue who rocked a kefiya first...

I do agree that it's pricey, but so are most of their competitors. It is solid, and if you do the whole 'it'll last and never really go out of style justification' once a while aint too hard on the wallet...

The work shirt is nice but I'd like it better if it didn't have the mandarin collar.

Uh, I've been on Ralph Lauren since '72.

T, you did read the sarcasm didn't you.

I thought I was on Styleforum for a minute. Thanks Anthony!

Yeah, I did get the sarcasm. My comment was more directed at Anthony.

I really like rag&bone. Ive found r&b clothes tend to fit me better than any other brand and just feel natural and comfortable for me.

Even though they may be going more "fashion", the last few seasons there have been some really solid pieces that didnt show up onthe runway.
There are still alot of simple, well-made, versatile garments, and i believe the quality is still a bit better than brands that cost nearly as much.
Still, i do think that f/w 07 was their best stuff.
