Wings+Horns Trench

trenchI've been waiting for this piece to drop all spring. Wings+Horns have one of my favorite collections this spring, and for next winter. I've been wearing my chinos non-stop and plan to continue doing so. This trench coat from Wings+Horns looks like the perfect spring coat too. The khaki color, especially, is really appealing, the light tone just feels like spring, while the slim cut and great details will keep it feeling fresh for seasons to come. I really like the classic details of the hidden buttons and adjustable wrist straps. The Japanese materials are always a nice touch, and again it's good to see a brand that's manufactured and designed here in Vancouver putting out such a high quality garment. Available at Nomad and Roden Gray.

I have been waiting for this jacket for months and finally caught a glimpse while dog walking on a Friday evening. The jacket is definitely well constructed with a good weight. Unfortunately I am quite disappointed in the side vents as I am just not into the side vents for a trench.....I do not want to drop by Burberry.....

I have been looking for a new mac or trench coat. I just tried on the new Shipley and Halmos mac and trench coats over the weekend, and I didn't like the fit. Would prefer a slimmer cut. Any suggestions? Any idea of how the Wings and Horns trench compares to the Shipley and Halmos?

I think the Wings+Horns jackets have a bit more substance to them. They feel more solid, and have a bit more cohesive fit than Shipley & Halmos' trench. I've only tried on the yellow one we featured in the last issue. W+H tend to fit a bit more narrow in the shoulders as well.
