This fall look book by Band of Outsiders is precisely the reason why I love the brand of Band of Outsiders. While I still have a hard time finding items that fit me right, I really do enjoy the aesthetic and atmosphere created by Scott Sternberg. He does such a great job with the overall look, subtle designs and use of American tailoring and high quality materials. His eye for clothing and people seem to come together just right with his polaroid photo shoots and this is another great example. Featuring actor Jason Schwartzman, the shoot follows him around Chung King Road in Los Angeles. I really get the feeling from the clothing and shots that Scott is having a lot of fun with his collections. The playful items and general comedic scenery remind us why we like clothing and how you can have fun with it. Look for one of the best Band of Outsiders collections to continue landing in shops near you over the next month. Thanks to HB for the heads up.

Why does everyone want to dress Ivy style like they came from rich family? Is that cool to have rich parents?

If you seek out creativity and culture with your trusty little camera you would know that Prep culture has been done before.
Even with my trusty little camera, It was a few years ago too!
If its fashion, shouldn't their be a story or a concept behind the products? If not maybe its just "clothing" and not fashion.
Maybe you should stick to moving loose and loving life!
Check out Italy, you will love it there!
I'm not impressed. A lot of time and effort to make a collection that seems so derivative. Sad. Jason Schwartzman is pretty cool though, so that's something, I guess.
the look is always the same b/c the designer worked at CAA and that must be where his fashion sense is frozen - kinda like seeing that 50 yo woman wearing something that she would have looked hot in at Studio 54 back when she was a hot young thing in the 70's.
Am I uncool for not appreciating this badly done advertising campaign by BOO posing as a blog posting?
