Visvim's fall collection continues to release with some nice shirting. Falling into the category of another work shirt, Visvim let theirs stand out with top notch cottons and interesting use of color in the arm sections of the shirts. The subtle tonal shades used are great accents that make the shirt different enough from the other five work shirts in my closet. I plan on picking up a couple items from Visvim's fall offering and it could very easily end up being one of these shirts and some chinos. These ones are only available online right now, but should be hitting stateside retailers in the near future.

It's the sign of the times when you see Visivm available for purchase on line these days. As much as Visvim has resisted to make it's product so accessible in order to protect it's brand value they realize they must adapt to keep their market share and perhaps attain more outside of Japan. With the quick pace and fickleness of the Japanese market maybe they see it as time to really expand outside of Japan. Having said this I think Visvim's product could be a hard sell (besides the already converted) with it's high price point. My real comment was to say how amazing the leather Logan Deck Lo's are. I just received by Brown pair this week and they are beautiful! Of all the deck sneakers out at the moment these wear the crown.
Beautiful shirts. Good to see we can get access to at least some Visvim product.
I think the high price point will still keep ownership to a select few at this time. I don't see why you would'nt want more people wearing the product. I guess we can start getting worried when we see the Uniqlo x Visvim colabo's.
@wayne
there isn't any visvim online stateside unless you count eBay. The website that is linked is an HK one.
visvim has already attempted expanding to the states before (g-line). I don't think it's still around anymore.
thats because G-Line was complete crap from top to bottom
Visvim pricing is totally reasonanble inside Japan. Export and comissions
make the price go up. It's the middlemen and taxes.
@Jack
Yeah I was aware of the site being out of HK. I'm surprised to see this at all. This is the first time I've ever seen current/new season Visvim product being sold on line. In regards to the G-Line, I never bought anything from those few collections.
I was never a fan of the "Made For America" product, it seemed so second rate
and a bit of a insult to those of us who are a bit more inclined. If I may be so bold.
It seems that any footing Visvim had in the states has been lost. The loss of Union NY didn't help things. Me personally I don't think Visvim will ever do well in the states, I think it's appeal to those who buy it stateside will be based around it's exclusiveness and the HF obsessed.
@Niels
I meant to add, from my experience and my last trip to Tokyo which was in May the pricing at F.I.L. was still quite high, but just me.
@ wayne
good point. Visvim attracts me by it's exclusivity and commitment to consistent quality of construction and fabrics. basically, the little things (ok BIG things) that a lot of brands have eliminated throughout the years in order to sell more and lower costs.
the prices are a little extreme, but i haven't much trouble finding them online (eBay, forums) and at the US retailers on sale or for much cheaper than F.I.L. retail.
Is there a term for this type of collar with the rounded flaps?
All I have to say on the matter being discussed is, I dont give a fuck as long as someone tells Hiroki nakamura to add an XXL sometime later...I'm not going to stop lifting so I can fit into a shirt..
@Wayne
The Glade, Colette, Slam Jam are a few english sites that sell some Visvim. And obviously there are plenty of online Japanese sites that sell it.
