It's been almost a year since we first mentioned these boots from Nepenthes but they're back. This time around in a beautiful smooth leather. I don't know what it is about deep chestnut brown coloured leather on footwear but it has me swooning every time. I've always been a fan of the Hathorn thanks to it's simple three-piece upper and sleek silhouette and I've been entertaining the thought of a lower cut boot more and more lately. I think combined with the classic Vibram sole the smooth oxford boot has a great contrast about it that can be worn across any number of different styles. The gold eyelets and multi-coloured laces offer that much more detail. Taking inspiration from a certain 100 poster around here, I think with some cropped pants and maybe even a pair of Fair Isle socks you'd be well on your way to a great looking autumn look.

the wedge sole is a little much here w/ the curved toe. they look like some shit that tom cruise would wear when taking pics w/ katie holmes to get an extra lift.
Great looking leather but I agree the sole is almost a third of the shoes height in proportion. Kim Jong Il would rock em.
SKINHEAD MOONSTOMP!
I live in the uk and was wondering if there is any way of getting hold of these or maybe something similar, a good walking shoe with light vibram sole. Does Simon know how to get hold of those russell moccasins maybe? Thanks
@ Philip... You'll need a Japanese proxy but you can buy these here...

The exact pair of Russell Mocs I mentioned were also collaboration with Nepenthes which are no longer available. Here's the full post on them...

If you click "the original" it will take you to Russell's site and their version of the shoe. You can add a natural Vibram sole for $7.50. However, I don't think they ship personal orders outside of North America so it would help if you know someone out there.
Alternatively, you could consider these...

They're more of a workboot rather than a walking shoe but they have a similar appearance to the ones Owen posted.
Hope that helped.
