Visvim PFD Field Jacket

Visvim's ability to meld fashion and function are again shown off with this fall's PFD Field Jacket. The piece features a custom herringbone cotton exterior complete with a Gore-Tex membrane on the inside. Apparently Visvim is the first brand to play with a multi-colored and branded Gore inner seam tape as well, which adds just one more special touch by the Japanese brand. The olive color is my favorite and comes packed with four front pockets and a nicely shaped sort of Maine collar. Hiroki continues to push the brand and offers some great insight and quotes on the direction of Visvim in the feature in Sense magazine. It's worth trying to scoop a copy if possible, but you might be better off just getting this jacket instead to experience what he's talking about.

I have the Visvim field jacket from FW 07-08 in the same fabrication. The one drawback with this jacket is how it pick's up so much lent and particles so you are
always taking a brush to it. I have it in Black which is obviously the worst color for
lent so perhaps it doesn't show as much on the olive version. Besides that, you can't go wrong with it.

when i posted about the new releases this was my highlight for sure. I also mentioned the nice collar. I think the pockets and bulk of the jacket make it look the best though. The picture from the sense magazine shoot is what really sealed the deal for me. I'm just hoping no one else can afford it and it goes on sale at Union, if they are indeed stocking it, so I can scoop it up at a discount. I'm probably way too broke to purchase at retail since Visvim outerwear has usually been the brands most expensive garments.

Union will be getting it in their next Visvim shipment. I believe retail was around $1200-1300 and as it's price at 90000Yen, that would be about right I think.

It looks beautiful, definitely something I'd love to own.
