Look | Something for Fall

look-something-to-wearI never really know what sparks these outfits but today I'm sure it was the SNS Herning Gang Cardigan. It's the perfect layering piece with the right cut, the right buttons and this amazing color really grabbed my attention. Chambray had to be it's best pair in my mind, followed by the Junya x Baracuta G4. With the use of these different single color items, I decided it would be best to stick with the theme as I went with the burgundy Workaday cords and the olive Porter x Monocle tote. The JS Homestead socks are of course hot on my mind from yesterday and the perfect low cut oxford boots finish off the look. Although I only own a couple of these items, it is a pretty good example of the sort of thing I would wear all fall long. The oxfords and cardigan are high on my list of items right now, while I'm waiting for the slightly modified version of the Porter x Monocle tote with longer handles which I will be receiving in November.

the crepe soled work shoes, as opposed to boots, are killer... plus gives you chance to enjoy those socks. was looking yday but only found http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_067B0013000P?vName=Tools&cName=Workwear+%26+Work+Boots&sName=Mens+Work+Boots+%26+Shoes" rel="nofollow">DieHards (that have gone downhill last few years. imho)

The cord color is great with the socks. Socks can make an entire look. I'd probably go with brown shoes though.

Honestly this outfit looks like it was color coordinated by a kindergartener with too many crayons. The pieces are fine on their own but what a horrid combination of textures and color, have to leave now I’m gonna be sick:(

Cords and the Chambray is all I'd need with a proper peacoat.

I love the cords. My only concern is what footwear to wear with them. Quite nicely paired here.

Seriously, where can I get shoes like these in the US? I've seen Russell has something similar, but they're made to order (takes a while, prob can't return if not right...).

I've got a lighter colored pair of work shos like that from the fifties made by Sears with crepe soles and 5 eyelets. I've got them of ebay for less than $20. Look and find.

Red Wing are re-releasing the moc-toe oxford shoe in at least 3 colours early next year.
