Ryan Willms Last week in New York we happened to be in between appointments when Jake messaged me to come drop by for an interesting video project he was putting together. Generally all of us at Inventory like to stay on the other side of the lens but Jake had a simple concept that felt fresh and included a great list of subjects. He was kind enough to include the Inventory editors; Simon Roe, Owen Parrott and myself. The Test Shots are leading off the series that will play out on Jake's blog and be viewable in HD in a much bigger format at Jake's Vimeo page. The videos offer a genuine glimpse into the people and their personalities and really take the idea of a street style photograph to a new place. Thanks again to Jake for including us, enjoy.

go find your own style, all this where are those from and where did you get that is......!
Nicely edited admin, i am sure you agree and dont want to offend anybody.
How about,go find your own style all this ego stroking is a tad...over the top/unnecessary*?
Feel free to edit it as you please.
cad - sorry, I don't mean to be censoring your comments - but we can't allow those words in a derogatory use, hope you understand, otherwise you're thoughts are welcome, along with the ego stroking ones...

killing it as per usual.
God I remember when Ryon was one of us og Hypebeast posters with baggy denims and supreme blazers. how far you've gone
im sure the photos will turn out sick but these videos are on some japanese fetish porno shit
Looking good guys.
Why do i get the vibe that this aint even authentic its just some well packaged ish...simon killed it tho, those cargo pants look wack!and they dont even go wit the outfit
All that rolling of your jeans must make them stretch and flare out.
Could everyone please stop using the term 'on point'?
Everytime someone says it, a little part of me dies inside.
^haha. I remember reading your disapproval of that term somewhere before.
I've been a fan of h(y)r/inventroy but these videos made me very squirmy--I found them hard to watch. There was nothing creative about this test (hopefully the final shots and edit are interesting). Slow motion wide-shots of men doing up their buttons or fiddling with their pant cuff does absolutely nothing for me. Aren't people getting tired of this trend? With all things said, I have been on less men's fashion blogs lately so maybe it's just me.
^^^ I didn't mean the trend of rolling pants but more the trend of oggling at Americana style.
I think oggling at American style is Awesome. I love American style, I love this blog and I love these videos!
^^^ That's interesting. I love fashion as much as the next guy here but I think I'm getting bored. The internet blogging game hasn't seen much of an improvement in quite some time now. If I'm looking for fashion and art together, these video clips don't speak to my tastes. Individual components of the videos speak to me, but not as a whole. I thought everyone looked pretty uncomfortable on camera (Simon looking most comfortable), and for that, it is almost embarrassing for me as a viewer at home. I'm not talking shit at all and my comments really aren't directed at anyone in particular.
Ryan, you're such a wonderful gang leader. While even having a ridiculously forced and prescribed style, you somehow manage to look better than your awfully dressed cohorts. Do they get your tea for you in the morning?
p.s.
Tell Owen never to wear cargo pants again, as they make him look like he took a shit in his pants when juxtaposed to his overly tight top wear.
Do you hear yourself?
All your angry petulant rants.
They bring an air of distaste,
About ties, and jeans and pants.
All you self loathers,
All you bent beackers
Go back to the hole
To which you came
And concentrate like ants...
you're applying a beautiful poem out of context. I'm participating in an open discussion and you're merely an observer. Who's the rat?
Ulysses - your comments are no longer welcome here. I won't be publishing any more after today.
Thanks, and I get my own tea.
Knobs - I don't know if jr was referring you, or more to Ulysses I would think. Your comments are fine and respectful, its a fair opinion and I don't blame you for being bored. Blogs can only do so much, that's part of the reason we're publishing a substantial magazine and opening a shop - there's more to it and it's more fun to really get into it.

Peace out Ulysses! A little less hate in my daily fix is always a good thing....Credit to the Inventory gents, it takes balls to put yourself out there.
These films are plain cringey. I don't see the reason for them to exist. Really awful.
These are engaging and really beautiful to watch....I assume this was Jake's project and he asked you gents to participate? He's an amazing artist and I thought the whole concept was terrific. Would love to see a bigger, more focused collaboration between Inventory and Jake Davis.
God what a stroke fest. I can't wait until this current trend is passe for you and streetwear graces the pages of this rag. I'm sure Supreme will appreciate the exposure.
Do us all a favor and get over yourselves.
These comments are pretty ridiculous. Poor Ulysses. Thought the videos were nicely done. Simons look was the only one that really appealed to me personally.
