The Alden Indy has become well known, or more well known, in the last couple seasons. Whether you're tired of them or tired of seeing them, you can't deny it's a great boot. It's now available in a number of colours and leathers through various Alden merchants, but Epaulet's latest make-up is one of my recent favorites. I was actually just chatting to Owen the other day about doing the Indy in black leather with a natural leather sole, and what do you know? Here it is. I would have gone with a softer more subtle leather instead of the cowhide, but I'm not complaining. There aren't a lot of black boots I feel have a casual enough feel for me, but the colour of the leather and the white stitching make this pair particularly appealing. While I'm happy enough with my standard issue Indys, playing with the black leather is a good idea and something I would like to see refined with a couple of other Alden models in the future.
