It's been a couple weeks since I threw together a virtual look, this time I was spurred on by the Engineered Garments Newport jacket. I loved this piece when I saw it last January and I had forgotten about it in the last couple months since I pretty much reached my quota and haven't seen it in many shops. With sales in full force I've spotted the navy version marked down in one or two places. The urge to track down the grey is building steadily, so I thought I would figure out a couple other items I could wear with it. The double breasted jacket is formal by nature so I think these pieces sort of go with it, and against it. Due to the very casual drape of the serge wool, the South 2 West 8 duck canvas pants look great to make the look casual over all. It's kept classy with the Beckman moc toe boots by Red Wing and a simple bow tie and oxford BD combination.

Those boots, where to get them? Beautiful outfit, the best Ive seen on the blog so far!
Odin NYC had a herringbone tweed version of the Newport. I reached my quota early and passed up on it. Regretting the hell out of my decision. The jacket is beautiful and has so many possibilities, the red cap pairing is great. I'm happy with my decision to go with the Baker in navy wool serge, but damn that jacket is kick-ass. I'm sure you already found it online at m-a-p-s, last I checked they had a grey one.
Huge fan of the outfit and blog! Curious where the bow tie is from?
Ryan,
I think there needs to be a moratorium set on posting images of the red Inverallan cap, it just makes the majority of us jealous!
4x the order next fall!
is the oxford workaday?
Beautiful look. Tones and pieces go well together. Actually first time seeing the DB Eg and I'm impressed. I'm might go with a round toe Beck as the DB makes the look more formal.
Thanks for the nice comments.
The shirt is a Workaday oxford, the tie was a special make-up by Olch for Inventory, but you can find similar ones by Olch in a few shops. The boots are available at Blackbird, among other Red Wing dealers.
I definitely would love to snag this jacket, but I think it would need to be on sale. The Japanese sites still have them for full price and I probably wouldn't actually buy the navy serge wool as I have the Baker in the same fabric.

Best look you've put together in my opinion, I need that hat.
I say sir I do like the look of those socks. Where might I acquire a pair? If I had my druthers I would opt for a bag with a plaid just to create some contrast with the overall solid colors of all these items which work well together I might add. Good day sir.
^Mr. Pate - The socks are from J.Press
A plaid bag is a nice suggestion indeed.
@wayne... The socks look to be by Scott Nichol. If not, they look a lot like the Traditional Fair Isle socks from their Town & Country Collection.
Great look, really digging those pants. Wish we had more posts like this, def some of my favs.
I like most of your other looks, but this just looks terrible. No one would take someone serious in this outfit - the bowtie, man purse and beanie - such a terrible gimmick.
Liking the pieces; I can't keep spending like I have been (RRL sales here in NY have been a goldmine) but I like this total package
Nice pants! Where can I buy?
what a twat
I concur with Nay. Lose the bow tie.
I can't imagine any situation where you could team a bow tie with a Benny (not beanie) hat.
A few nice bits individually tho'.
i just received those RW 9012's, and they are great! Blackbird is sold out save a size 12. I bought mine from zonkshop a bit cheaper than Blackbird, and they have a good size collection for those interested. and i second getting the red Inverallan back ins stock!
lose the bowtie, jacket, and tote, and you got a look
look better naked
