Visvim Patrican Long Wings

visvim-patrician

The evolution of Visvim's footwear growth and development has been clearly documented in their catalogs and online through blogs since their inception in 2000. The collection has taken tremendous strides as Hiroki Nakamura continues to learn and strive to make the best possible products. In the last couple of seasons we've see Visvim take aim on some of the more traditional items in American history, such as the long wingtip shoe. The Patrican last fall was done very nicely and can be spotted in our first issue of Inventory. This spring's long winged brother however is again a step up in the use of high quality leather's for the suede outer and the extremely soft liner. They come in sand, black and white and seem to have shed the ribbon-like detail that the sample adorn, which is a good decision. The shoes will probably not be for everyone, but as a fan of both the long wing and Visvim, there was never much doubt in my mind.

i think we should all talk more about the intentions of the designer in a pseudo-academic way about streetwear

@snow ape

fail to see how any of this is academic or "psuedo-academic" (I love how critics always latch on to the use of "pseudo-anything" like it validates they are in fact intelligent too but just happen to hate big words) but ya got us!!

next time we can all just say what we need to in LOLSPEAK in order to appease the people who need a dumbed down delivery.

February 13, 2010 | Unregistered Commentersnow ape

when we are discussing the intentions of the guys behind 10 deep or crooks and castles you can chime in with your witty remarks about big words, otherwise know your place lil homie and fall back.

@snow ape

talking about why a designer makes his shit is what people do all the time with fashion. Sorry bro but visvim ain't streetwear anymore and its debatable if it ever was (nigas never wore visvim type shoes before visvim). it's showing its collections in paris nigga, i don't know one streetwear kid that wears suede brogues and if they did it'd only be cause it's visvim. streetwear used to be about style but now it's about brands. thats why i can't take you lil kids seriously.

^nvrmnd these is suede wingtips but whtvrs it means same thing. I aint never seen one pair of suede wingtips on hypebeast forums or on the street. it just doesn't happen in streetwear.
