Ryan Willms The impact of J.Crew on menswear is pretty undeniable as their reach is much bigger than your average start up or heritage brand. The way they can play on all levels and are working with small and large brands from the USA and overseas is very nice. While to some of us the formula is an obvious one after seeing decades of success from shops like Beams, but the fact is that the North American market is far behind and has misplaced it's values for years. What Frank Muytjens is doing isn't ground breaking, but it's interesting he notes menswear designing has to be within a certain framework. That framework is even more refined and limited within a brand like J.Crew and North America, beyond sport coats and trenches, so all things considered it is fairly impressive what they've done in the last couple of years and will continue to do.

PLEASE have an article about J. Crew in the spring/summer volume. That would be so sick!
Someone needs to convince J.Crew to open a store in Vancouver. That outlet store down in Tulalip sucks me dry of a couple hundred every time I go.
I read blogs on a similar topic, but i never visited your blog. I added it to favorites and i'll be your constant reader.
I find the whole J.Crew thing interesting, mainly because in Europe it doesn't mean a whole lot, yet it seems to be a North American phenomenon. I'm sure that's something that will change with the exposure people like Monocle are giving to the brand over here though.
It's good to hear a menswear designer talk about the framework of our fashion, as men we do seem to be about good staples - clothing types that have lasted generations - like denim, shirts, blazers, knitwear etc. This is contrasted by women's fashion that does feel more about moving forward, or maybe that comes down to being driven by trend as opposed to style?
Anyway it's good to hear someone talk about how they view what they do and work within their obvious constraints. Good post.

When you're in the corner and have no cash to get out from that, you will need to receive the http://lowest-rate-loans.com" rel="nofollow">loan. Because that would help you for sure. I get consolidation loans every time I need and feel myself great because of that.
