Woolrich Woolen Mills Spring Items

Words

WP Lavori has created something special with Woolrich Woolen Mills. With the change in designers that is in transition right now, it's giving a very traditional brand and product a refreshingly interesting concept, while not taking away from the wear-ability and classic sense of the brand. Daiki Suzuki is one of my favorite designers right now, and although it will be somewhat too bad to see him leave Woolen Mills behind, it will create a renewed interest in both his own brand, and the Woolen Mills collection. Before we have to worry about seasons without Upland shirts, we have one more season from Daiki, which I think looks quite promising. The light colors and good patterns make for a playful, wearable offering, however its still the basics that I'll be stocking up on.

Words

ts(s) spring collection was one of the highlights of Pitti Uomo last summer. The collection features some really beautiful fabrics and very nice silhouettes. The styling may not be for everybody, but the details are well looked after and this is a great looking spring jacket.

We've been meaning to do this for awhile, and finally got around to it in the past week. Stock Looks is a new section of the website that will feature outfits and garments from our shop. With new deliveries regularly arriving, we'll be updating a few times each month with some of our favorite items worn by some of our friends. The first installment features spring collections from Engineered Garments and Beams Plus, modeled by Mr. Wade Fyfe. Click through the link below to see the first four looks.

Carhartt Ripstop Digger Coat

01

—02. Olive ripstop cotton.

Words

Carhartt's casual range has been steadily improving over the last few seasons, but its hard to get too far away from their classic models. The Digger coat takes on a lighter weight ripstop cotton this spring which looks really nice to me. The mustard of the logo and timeless work coat style works nicely with this fabric and it creates an easy to wear garment.

Words

As you can tell from the number of brands featured on our site, there aren't a ton that I get too excited about. Engineered Garments is definitely one of them however, and its an exciting time when new deliveries start rolling into the shop. This week we received our first spring delivery from Engineered Garments and its filled with great pieces. We bought the collection with a strong sense of color, tone and fabric. It's a nice mix the different blues, great patterns and a lot of soft cottons; from poplin to twill to madras. The shipment includes shirting, accessories and some really nice jackets in the Bedford and Cruiser styles.

Want: Buzz Ricksons A-3 Cap

—02. Washed olive herringone.

Words

This hat just looks great. Especially with spring/summer around the corner, a nice worn out cap is a handy thing to have around. This Buzz Ricksons version has a nice washed out look to it. Hopefully the stamp would continue to fade out over time, but its a nice piece of military re-production work.

Beams Plus Spring Collection

—01. 50s Chambray work shirt.
—02. Olive herringbone fatigue pants.

Words

Within the last week we've received two of our favorite collections in-store. Both Engineered Garments and Beams Plus are looking very good for the fresh season, highlighted by great fabrics, very good fits and classic styles. The Beams Plus spring offering includes some really great pants with the herringbone fatigues and the subtle tonal polka dot chinos. The chambray work shirt is a new Beams style, which is a great interpretation of a 50s work shirt Kenny had come across. Rounded off with some bow ties, some linen and madras and a restock on the oxford BDs, it's another strong selection, and only available in North America at Inventory.
