Words

In the past few seasons the Italian brand Ten C has gone beyond its niche of incredibly made, simple outerwear to include pants in its offering. For Spring-Summer '15, they've gone a step further with the release of these cotton T-shirts. The lightweight jersey knit fabric, single chest pocket and basic colour options make them an easy purchase for layering or sunnier days to come.

The latest edition of T Magazine features a men's editorial focused on modern denim. Spring pieces by Bottega Veneta, Yang Li, Loewe, Craig Green and Junya Watanabe are highlighted along with other seasonal items. Photographed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch and styled by Carlos Nazario, the short editorial does a nice job of exploring a thoroughly documented fabric in menswear.

Words

I'm not sure if it's the significance of sportswear in current fashion trends or the collection itself, but the latest FCRB offering feels more wearable than it has in previous seasons. The product section of the brand's website is filled with appealing options well worth tracking down from their ever-expanding list of stockists.

I certainly owe some thanks to our resident house music enthusiast, Nico, for introducing me to a handful of producers I may not have otherwise come across. One of them is Madteo, who recently produced an irie dancehall mix for Trushmix. Featuring a great selection of mid '80s and early '90s tracks, it's just as good for a mellow dance party as it is for cleaning your apartment on a Friday night.

Elements of luxury are combined with a distinct graphic language to create the high-end punk aesthetic which Jun Takahashi is known for. Haven now have a handful of Spring-Summer '15 items, including T-shirts, hats and some outerwear.

New Nieves Zines

01. Bartworks, 2015.
02. Pep, 2015.

Words

Swiss art book publisher, and subject of a feature in Issue 10 of our magazine, Nieves, has released six new photocopied zines. The two that stand out to me are Bartworks, by frequent Yaeca illustrator Ken Kagami, and Pep, by Brooklyn-based artist James Ulmer. The other four offered are sure to have something appealing about them for those that love similar primitive, outsider illustration and at $8 are easily purchased from change found amongst your couch cushions.

The Decisive Moment by Henri Cartier-Bresson

Words

The Decisive Moment by Henri Cartier-Bresson has long been considered one of those rare, out-of-print photo books that carries a high price tag for original copies. That doesn’t have to be the case any longer. The German publisher, Steidl, has reissued a facsimile version of the 1952 book and hopefully its availability will help to continue eliciting Cartier-Bresson's hegemony and influence over photographers hoping to catch seemingly happenstance moments of beauty or quite possibly introduce his work to a whole new generation.
