Adrià Cañameras for INDOORS

01

Images

Words

These photos were taken by Inventory Issue 05 contributor Adrià Cañameras for INDOORS; a new project by the Barcelona based ARQUITECTURA-G firm. The project is focused on the reformulation and reorganization of contemporary urban housing, by offering both design and furniture specific solutions. With strong ties to Apartamento magazine, which publishes frequent conversations and debates established by the firm in each issue, it's not hard to see the influence of both parties on one another. Adrià's photos meanwhile, beautifully capture the feeling of an evening spent indoors: with good company, soft light, and plenty of food.

Rocky Mountain Featherbed at Silver and Gold

01

Info

—01. Khaki, Olive, Black.

Words

You could quite easily write about something new at Silver & Gold every week. In fact; I pretty much do. However, when the subject matter contains both great product and interesting presentation, what's to dislike? That it's not from a store based in the US maybe, or perhaps that it's yet another vest I'm posting, while still not sure if I'm ready to change the habit of a short lifetime, and make the leap of purchase myself. Those two reasons aside, the Military Down Vest from Rocky Mountain looks like a pretty solid addition to anyone's winter wardrobe. Whether you track it down and make the purchase from home, or abroad.

The Navajo Blanket

Words

Yet another gem unearthed from The Moment blog of the New York Times; The Navajo Blanket by Mary Hunt Kahlenberg and Anthony Berlant looks like an amazing find, should you manage to track a copy down of the 1979 book from Praeger Publishing. Unsurprisingly my knowledge on blankets is not particularly up to scratch, but I was lucky enough to recently spend some time in the company of someone who's appreciation, understanding, and craft certainly is, for the latest issue of the magazine. Since then my fledgling interest has grown little by little, and this publication looks like something I'd happily add to the piles around the house, given half the chance.

The Real McCoy's Mountain Parka

01

Info

—01. Olive 60/40 fabric.

Words

The Real McCoy's don't often make a lot of mountaineering inspired pieces aside from a some down vests, but this Western Yoke Mountain Parka is definitely worth noting. The muted color combination, fabric choice and quality detailing make this one of the best of its kind.

Viberg for Inventory Items Scout Boot

01

Info

—01. Black rough out leather.

Words

Viberg's popularly outside of Japan has risen rapidly in the past couple of years, and being able to work so closely with our local neighbors still feels like a special privilege. The family run factory are just as nice to work with, and this fall we decided to make our first real boot with Viberg. Made with the tried and true Vibram Christy, the thick black rough out leather is nicely accented by the natural welt, and all black stitching. The boots came out great, the pattern, the silhouette and the materials all work perfectly together for one of my favorite special make ups yet.
