—01. Great tones and balance in the stripes.

Nom de Guerre has had a pretty interesting off-season with a lot of changes going on behind the scenes and re-arranging and organization all around. The samples that were shown last spring were pretty heavily criticized by the buyers I spoke to, yet the core of the collection and ideas I thought were quite strong. The New York brand have changed quite a few details and as the spring collection begins to deliver I am fairly impressed with a number of the pieces. The pattern and fabric of this 'Classic Shirt' is really great looking. It feels light and fresh, just enough color to make it interesting, but still easy to wear.

It looks really simple and all the better for it.
A lightweight, light coloured shirt is always going to be a good call for the warmer months and this makes a nice change from the sea of checks that's out there.
I had a look at a lot of the range the other day and they've got some really nice piece for this season - some of the outerwear is especially nice.
Valuable thoughts and advices. I read your topic with great interest.
The Spring collection is really amazing in person. I was a little taken back by the look book at first, then it started to grow on me. But, after seeing the pieces in store, I was really convinced that the brand has hit a stride again.
Looks like the kind of distinctive shirt that will never quite be in style and so will never be out of style. The type of thing you buy on a whim, begin to dislike, and a couple of years later gradually begin to fall in love with. Worn well, these items can make the ultimate purchase.
i really liked the shirting this spring from ndg, which usually is not even close to the case
wow, nice chris. never heard that sort of feeling put so well, and it's so true!
I think it looks nice on a magazine spread. But when comes to actually taking it off the hanger and wearing it around, it wouldn't make the cut for me.
That shirt is very easy to wear.
I'm not sure about classic but looks like a well designed shirt.
"Classic" must be the most overused word in fashion.

Thanks Brian. The worst thing is when the realisation comes too late, after the garment has been consigned to roughwear or become 'home clothes'. 30 degree handwashes on everything but work shirts for me these days, because you never know when something might become your favourite item.

I am quite interested in how the brand is progressed particularly been incredibly under the radar when fashion weeks just snow plow through. Their Fall collection was strong, given that a brand like Filippa K also produced a similarly looking shawl cardigan in the same style and color. The Spring collection is overtly military. I'm curious to see if it will work or could be too conceptualised in the same frame of Thom Browne.
