Filson Alaskin Guide Shirt

Filson's soft goods are no doubt well made and will last you a couple dozen fishing trips and trips through SoHo. However the fit isn't one of the slimmest ever made, but when it comes to flannels and plaids, you don't always need the most fitted shirt. The Alaskan Guide shirt is probably my favorite from Filson's shirt selection. After scouring the Internet yesterday however, I could not find this color anywhere. I even tried to find it in some Japanese shops online but no luck. I like the shirt in the available colors at Filson.com but this color that Jake found is the best, better than the rest. And like Filson says, "you might as well have the best." But then they don't let me get the best color if this shirt. It retails for about $80 US which is a great deal, but I'm not about to settle for less than the best.

Want: Filson Macinaw Vest

I absolutely love wool and grey is it's best color. Vests, jackets, coats, hats, socks, everything in grey wool. This vest is one of my favorites as well. It's not a new product, it's been around for years but I want it right now more than ever. I also would like one of these in the classic red and black plaid, but this grey wool would especially go nice with all of the white and navy I'm wearing these days. I'm still a little unsure on Filson's sizing so I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on eBay even though the price might be better then right. I think I might go with the medium and hope for the best.
