Garbstore Country Shirt

garbstore-cpw-country-shirtI liked this shirt back when I saw it in the spring and I still do. The nice texture on the material feels and looks could while it creates a very casual over shirt. The double button pockets look sharp, along with the shrunken branding on the lower left. Patches and letters can easily go wrong as we've seen many times over at Rugby, but the Garbstore "G" manages to look nice and ads a slightly collegiateĀ  feeling to the work wear inspired top. It's now available at Garbstore in London and on their brand new website. The new layout is really nice looking and filled with good information on the Familiar Vintage project, as well as the new fall collection. Garbstore

The Whiley Brothers for Garbstore

the-whiley-brothers-beltWith all of the leather companies and designers in the world, there are still only a handful of people making really great belts. The Whiley Brothers make their belts from the finest bridle and cordovan leather on their farm in Pennsylvania, USA. Ian Paley from Garbstore tracked down the fine artisans and had a few styles made up specially for his London shop. This harness belt in tan with brass hardware is my favorite version of the selection. The simple design, ideal size and sturdy materials are just what I need in a belt.

Garbstore Spring Collection

garbstore3I haven't been 100% sure what I think about Garbstore until this past season. I'd never really seen it in person, I didn't really know who was making it, and honestly there were small details, like the logo, which I didn't particularly like. I got to met Ian Paley in Las Vegas last month and it was a pleasure. We got to share a cab and talk about what he's been doing, as well I had a nice look at the fall/winter collection. I am definitely on board now. Especially after seeing these really nice looks of the spring collection which I would imagine is now available in Garbstore, London. The photos are really nice, the styling is precisely what it should have been and the products look great. I really like the work coats, blazers, parka and shorts. The colors look really nice together, especially that rich khaki/brown and great blue. Just a good looking bunch of clothes, I'm not sure what else to say. garbstore1 garbstore2
