Alexander Olch for Inventory Items Bow Tie

Olch for InventoryItems-bt-01 2 I began wearing bow ties for the first time this fall. I've always found them intriguing but my style has never really felt like it was able to work with them. As things evolve and you grow with your taste, I felt it was time to try them out. After speaking with Mr. Olch and working on our special ties for Inventory, I asked if we had enough material to make up a small run of bow ties in the flecked grey wool – so we did. The look and texture of the English wool works perfectly for a bow tie and I've already worn mine a number of times. The casual nature of the tie works great with a chambray shirt or can be dressed up with a sharp club collar. There are only a handful of the bow ties available and we've just released them in the shop today. — Available at the Inventory Stockroom, $105

Duluth Pack for Inventory Items

Duluth for Inventory 01 With the launch of the new Inventory website and shop, we are extremely excited about our first couple collaborations. I was particularly excited about working with Duluth Pack. Based on the tip of Lake Superior in Minnesota, USA - Duluth make some of the best canvas products in the world. With a real focus on hand crafted items, it made sense for us to work a company with such a rich history and quality output. The Duluth for Inventory Items Utility bag is a slightly altered version of their 51 pack. We've gone with a navy canvas and brown straps, added in matching brass hardware, a third quick to use strap in the middle and our own co-branded leather patch. We also slimmed down the shape of the bag for a more narrow and city friendly silhouette - then finished it off by adding a zip pocket on the inside. Duluth's bags are made by hand and guaranteed for life, even signed by the person who made it, so you can rest assured you've investing in a classic piece for years to come. LOOK | Post Overalls Fall

Look | Post Overalls Fall The Post Overalls collection has been leaking into shops until recently. It hit quick and hard in the USA, Japan and Europe. Most notably Superdenim's recently delivery is full of beautiful pieces, in fact too many to choose from so I decided to put a look together. It's definitely not an attention grabbing ensemble as the pieces are all quite muted and I like it that way. Khaki, navy and grey all go very well together so there is no real need to fight it. The cinch back chinos, C-post chambray and twill vest are my favorites and I wouldn't be surprised if I end up with one or two of them by the end of the season. They are perfectly balanced items and Takeshi Ohfuchi has put forth one of my favorite collections yet. I decided to add a bit of color by way of the Inverallan for Inventory Items cap, J. Press socks and the Alden for Context Roy boot.

INVENTORY ITEMS: An Introduction

Inventory Items Introduction Often times there’s a specific item missing from your wardrobe and you just don’t feel right until it’s yours. At Inventory, we find there are certain classic, well made products that we feel we need but they just don’t exist. By working with carefully selected designers and manufacturers, we are able to make our perfect items. With a focus on time honoured traditions, impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail, we set out to compile a limited run of Inventory Items. We have done five collaborations this fall resulting in Items 001-006. It's been a learning process with each piece the end result has come to fruition just as we pictured it. The items will release through the fall at different times but there are already a couple available in the Inventory Stockroom. We'll be featuring individual items both in print and online to showcase the people and stories behind the products.
