Tricker's Suede Long Wings

Words

I really like how tough and sturdy Tricker's shoes look. I really like long wings, especially in suede, and I really like natural leather soles - it's no surprise I really like these shoes. I have yet to order myself a pair of Tricker's but when I do they will likely be on this sole, in this model, and in a lighter colour of suede, and they won't have white laces.

there is something about english made long wings i dont like. i guess it's because the wing tip covers more of the front part of the shoe than it does on aldens (or even floorsheim imperials if you like). it's the same with loake or alfred seargent long wings as with trickes. the only long wings made in england done nicely are imho the ones by mark mcnairy/EG. no offense to english made footwear though and of course that's only my opinion!

Love the contrast between the suede upper and that natural sole but like you I'm not keen on the white laces, I guess they did this to balance the look of the shoe a bit more?

I prefer this sole to the Vibram ones that Present have used on their recent versions though.

@joseph, mark mcnairy shoes are made in england and so are engineered garments the latter by trickers the former by sanders.

I don't mean to be too "in your face" with this, and I know it's completely inappropriate but I will just say it anyway! Whhhhhaat the heck has Obama been smoking these days? There, I got it off my chest! :)

I don't know what it is about Tricker's but they always put the most contrasting laces in their shoes. These are way too loud. They completely change the look of the shoe from classy to wacky. I say black laces for sure, maybe brown.

Question still remain... where are these available from?

Thanks Joseph; for your initial comment and the link, but also for clarifying things for the 'always too quick to judge' Robbo - the boy appears to need all the help he can get.

I find shoes from Trickers a bit clumpy. you have to be quite tall to get away with wearing clumpy shoes.
