D. LEE Fall Knits

dlee-fw-sweaterI had to post these beautiful sweaters for a couple reasons. 1) Our new issue is experiencing a slight delay due to some content circumstances and 2) They are too nice to not share. D. LEE is the new collection from menswear designer Dana Lee. She's better known for A-Z collection which is entering it's last season. Next fall the designer will pick up, not just where she left off, but from an ever better place judging from the collection for fall 09. D. LEE will feature some really classic ideas with a perfectly wearable and comfortable aesthetic. There are a number of pieces in the collection I am really excited just to look at, but these sweaters are probably on top of the list. The soft cable pattern and really nicely shaped neck looks beautiful. This definitely looks like one of those sweaters that become your favorite for years. My only problem would be picking which color I want the most. You can look forward to more with Dana and her new collection in issue 11 which is on it's way.

Issue 11 Preview

issue-11-previewWhile the short month of February snuck by pretty quick, we've been as busy as ever trying to pull together our latest offering. Issue 11 is on the way, but its still a few days away. I'm pretty excited about the issue as we spoke with some really great and interesting people, as usual. We have a nice feature on The NEWS, one of New York's best showrooms, Alexander Olch, Dana Lee of A-Z Collection and we are taking a look at Tres Bien's new location and their big changes on and offline. We also caught up with Angelo from Supreme just as their spring campaign is in full swing and the new collection is set to drop next week. It should be another good read, and of course there are some pretty pictures to go along with it.

Long Underwear

Now this probably hasn't always been considered a 'fashion item' and I probably wouldn't recommend wearing them by themselves unless your kicking back at the lodge with some hot chocolate after a long day of shredding some pow pow. But I have now seen a couple pairs look pretty cool. I won't use names but a friend of mine was wearing a pair by A-Z Collection under some jeans with the top half as a tucked in shirt with a cardigan on top and it looked quite good. I think utilizing the top half is probably a better idea than the bottoms when possible. The beauty of the look is how practical it is with this cold weather. It definitely keeps you a couple degrees warmer, and if it can provide a nice fresh look, put on for your long Johns.
