Arnys La Forestiere

Arnys, the tailored clothing company out of Paris, do it right. They make only a handful of ready to wear and 'off the rack' items. All of which are exceptionally well made, timeless pieces. Out of them items, their one jacket, la Forestiere, stands out. Since being designed in 1947, the jacket hasn't changed and remains as current now as it was then. Three patch pockets, straight collar and silk lining, a perfect sartorial city jacket. Wear it over a suit when the occasion arises or layer with it everyday, it's so versatile. The austere imperfection of the iconic piece make it a flawless one to me. This twill version is even half price at the only place in North America I could find it (online): Maus & Hoffman.
